Does it
cost any more to utilize your services than if I go
direct?
A. We are paid on a commission basis by
hotels and various other suppliers. Our services cost planners nothing.
Suppliers do
not increase their rates if we are involved. In fact,
the opposite usually happens. There are three reasons.
First, they are more concerned about securing the
business than about paying any commission. Second, we
let them know who their competition is and they
have to offer their most competitive bids without
regard to any fees or commission. Finally, because we
do a lot of business with these suppliers, they know us and
they know we present legitimate group opportunities on a
regular basis. When we present these opportunities they
typically pursue them aggressively.
