During the last 12 years 21st Century Group established itself as the pre-eminent company specializing in Hawaii hotel site selection and other assorted group related marketing activities. This has been accomplished with a lot of hard work, some very good people and an extremely well qualified customer database.  In recent years, a number of trends emerged allowing for an expansion of our business beyond the islands. 

1. The global economic expansion of recent years now allows many organizations to consider destinations other than Hawaii and many of our clients are asking for assistance in those locations.

2. As a result of today's global economy and with today's technology organizations of all types have reassigned or reallocated their meeting planning resources.  As a result, many of these of these organizations are now outsourcing hotel site selection duties as well as other meeting planning related activities.  Organizations have seen the benefits of outsourcing to companies such as ours and our business continues to grow.

3.  Hotels and resorts in just about every destination have seen their business increase.  Properties are being built at a rapid pace throughout the world and all of them want to tap into the U.S. market.  Many of these properties have no name recognition in the U.S.  In order to meet their goals, they are exploring new ways to gain market share and have increasingly turned to outside companies for assistance.  They are very receptive to working with site selection companies for a variety of reasons.

4.  It no longer matters where you are located.  Technology has virtually eliminated all barriers that previously dictated where you had to live to conduct business.  For example, as recently as last year - from Hawaii, we secured space in Cologne, Germany for a New York based client.  In 2002, 21st Century Group was named Runner-Up in the Cisco Systems "Growing with Technology Awards" for using networking technology to grow our business beyond our borders (Cisco Press Release)In 2005, the company was profiled on Smart Money magazine's web site (Smart Money).

5.  More and more people are choosing to change their career paths because of long working hours, lengthy commutes, family commitments, need for more income, control of their own destiny and a desire to capitalize on relationships that have been built over the years.

6.  Today the company has offices in ten locations, including Hawaii.  Our goal is to have representatives in metropolitan areas and meeting destinations throughout the world. 

THE OPPORTUNITY

21st Century Group is actively seeking representatives on the U.S. mainland to sell our site selection services.  These representatives will be independent contractors working under the 21st Century Group banner.  Location is not an issue - you can live anywhere.  The only requirements are that you have a working knowledge of the hotels / meetings / travel industry, are self-motivated, can work without direct supervision and are interested in making money.  If you have established relationships within the industry, this is a golden opportunity for you to make the most of them. Compensation is totally based on commission and there is NO LIMIT to the amount you can earn.  Commission amounts vary and are based on the type of service that is sold. Responsibilities include soliciting and maintaining accounts, obtaining meeting specs, contacting hotels, collecting proposals, presenting to client and advising on final decision.  Candidate should be able to work in unsupervised environment and be computer literate. Network access requires a high speed internet connection and a computer running Windows XP Professional.  Candidate should also be articulate, enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working from a remote location. Good follow-up skills are essential for success.

Company will provide business cards, brochures and other materials needed to do the job.  In addition, and most importantly, we will give you access to our 35,000 account database via the internet.  From your home or office, you will be able to utilize our database to develop accounts, track account activity, initiate RFP’s and communicate information electronically.  Also, we will provide you with any leads generated by our marketing programs from your area. Upon joining the company, we will assist in getting a press release distributed to the national meeting industry magazines as well as to business publications in your local geographic area.
